Do I actually need to fast before my appointment?

Yes. If you do not fast for at least 9 hours before the appointment, you will not be able to be screened at this event.

How often can I be screened?

Individuals are allowed to attend a CHEC screening once every six months. If your appointment is less than six months after your previous screening, your appointment may be cancelled.

Screening tests available include cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure. Health educators will be available at the screening to help you understand your results and what the information means for your health. Community health screenings are free and confidential.

IMPORTANT: If you plan to have your cholesterol tested please do not eat any food or drink any beverages other than water ("fast") for 9 hours prior to your test appointment for more accurate biometric numbers.
