Overview

Join us as we plant new street trees in honor of Día de Los Muertos

Join the Dia de los Muertos Tree Planting & Tree Adoption event!

The City of Los Angeles Councilmember Tim McOsker from Council District 15, the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Commissioner Jenny Chávez, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, City Plants, SLA Inc., Marathon, and California Climate Action Corps invite you to join us in honoring our loved ones by planting trees as we celebrate the cycle of life and remembrance this Dia de los Muertos!

Volunteer registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please wear close-toed shoes. We recommend sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle for personal use.

SLA Inc., will host a FREE tree adoption and distribute shade trees for City of LA residents to plant on private property. Proof of residence within the City of LA will be required to take a tree home for planting. For City Plants adoption rules, please visit our website.

Funding for this project is provided by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
