Title: YGB Portland Presents : Designing Your Journey - Emphasis on your Career and/or Life path(s). This workshop is to help you actualize what you want out of life based on the skills you already have. If you don't know what they are this is also a good space to sort this out. Spring will be upon us soon and this pre-spring activation is a great start.

Bio:

Emilly Prado is an award-winning author and journalist, educator, and DJ based in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of the essay collection Funeral for Flaca, a winner of the 2022 Pacific Northwest Book Award and a finalist for the INDIE Foreward Book of the Year in the categories of Essays and Multicultural Nonfiction and the Big Other Book Award for Nonfiction. Her writing and photographs have appeared in more than 30 publications including NPR, Bitch Media, and Marie Claire. Ruby Joy White (She/Prince) is a dazzlingly-extra, Sapphically-Inclined Black Tomboy originally hailing from the Rocky Mountain state: Colorado. Ruby is a writer-violinist-dancer-Sagittarius-nerd who loves flowers, music, reading, antiquing, plants, cleaning, cooking, baking, water, cats, chickens, dogs, being out and about, bumpin' Trap Music, creating stylish looks, and talking about anything and everything Blackity Black Black/POC, sociological, Queer/Sapphic, agape, Drake, and lipstick.

She is a consultant for equity, anti-racist, & identity/positionality workshops. Additionally, Prince curates music/creative spaces and is a Content Writer for Art For Ourselves, an online grassroots community publication for QTBIBPOC artists, activists, and cultural workers.
