Designing Accessible Documents with Word and Google Docs

This workshop is designed to equip educators, staff, and content creators with the practical knowledge and tools needed to make digital documents inclusive and accessible. Participants will learn to apply accessibility best practices using Microsoft Word and Google Docs—ensuring documents are readable by screen readers, have appropriate color contrast, use meaningful headings and alt text, and follow proper hyperlink and table structures. Whether you're new to document accessibility or looking to improve your workflow, this session offers step-by-step guidance, real-world examples, and essential resources to help you meet accessibility standards with confidence.

  • An ASU Zoom account will be required to join this session.
