Join Leia Avery, founder of Just Play Entertainment and creator of the hit game Hip Hop Charades, for a high-energy, hands-on workshop that guides you through the fundamentals of game design and helps you turn your concept into something you can actually play. 

Using nothing more than index cards, simple materials, and a whole lot of imagination, you'll explore game mechanics, storytelling, and interactive formats like trivia, conversation cards, and charades-style play. This fast-paced, collaborative, and intentionally low- tech workshop will teach you how to use games as a tool for storytelling, connection, and cultural expression, and define how amazing design can grow from the basics: pen, paper, and people.
