To commemorate the Grand Opening of the new Design & Innovation Building (DIB), The Design Lab will be hosting a showcase of projects and activities on Thursday, November 18 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on the DIB 3rd floor.

UC SAN DIEGO faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend along with special invitees from the San Diego community.

The event will be continuous between 12-3pm and we welcome attendees to join us throughout the event.

In addition, we would like to extend a special welcome to industry, design practitioners, and government partners during these specific hours. Invitees can attend anytime from 12pm-3pm but in an effort to foster synergistic relationships, we have also added "focused" partner hours, if people are interested.

Focused Partner Hours:

Industry partners (12-1pm)
Design practitioners partners (1-2pm)
Government partners (2-3pm)

*All guests to UC San Diego campus must follow strict Covid protocols and guidelines which includes submitting a vaccinations status and wearing masks at all times indoors. Non-UCSD attendees will need to show proof of vaccine status or a negative PCR Covid Test within 72 hours (if not vaccinated) at the time of check-in at the event.

The Design & Innovation Building (google map link) is located on UC San Diego campus adjacent to UCSD Structural Materials and Engineering Building (near the corner of Matthews Lane and Voight Drive).

The Design and Innovation Building will be adjacent to the UCSD Structural Materials and Engineering Building.
Due to construction, there is limited visitor parking on UCSD campus. We recommend using public transportation and ride-shares to reach campus.
