Come join us for our first annual UIUC UX Day, brought to you by Design Illinois, a collaboration between the College of Fine and Applied Arts and Siebel Center for Design at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

We have designed the agenda in order to help UIUC students gain an understanding of different directions they could pursue in the broad UX industry. Invited to speak will be professionals representing three types of design jobs - design done in-house, Big Tech design teams, and consulting firms that work with industry on design-related content.

The high-level agenda includes:

12-1pm - Check-in, introduction by Rachel Switzky, Director of Siebel Center for Design

1pm-3:45pm - "Day in the Life" sessions with three tracks, so attendees can listen and learn about in-house, Big Tech, and consulting experiences on UX teams

4-5:30pm - Panel discussions with our professionals, to learn about how to prepare for getting UX internships and jobs, focusing on what types of skills are needed for UX teams, and how best to tell your story and showcase your work

1pm-5:30pm - In parallel throughout the day, we will also be hosting 30 minute 1:1 sessions between professionals and students, for those attendees who are interested in skipping the panel discussions and diving right into deeper conversations to learn more about getting a job

5:30-7pm - Opportunities to continue the discussions and network to round out the afternoon's activities
