Description
Specialist Task Force (STF) 488 of the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) has been working on the accessibility of mobile devices and applications for persons with cognitive impairments. This one-day workshop is a follow up to our highly successful September workshop which helped us to validate and refine our approach to the work.
The aims of the workshop are to:
1. Present and discuss:
a) The ETSI Technical Report (TR) - that contains our analysis of the most relevant user needs.
b) The ETSI Guide (EG) - that contains guidelines intended to support those user needs.
2. Collect feedback and guidance on how to ensure that our guidelines provide the best possible approach to ensuring that mobile ICT devices and their applications are:
a) accessible to the widest range of people with cognitive impairments;
b) helpful to people with cognitive impairments in their everyday activities.
ETSI STF 488 invites stakeholders who are active in this area and in related areas such as the design of mobile devices and their applications. The input of stakeholders supporting people with cognitive impairments and standardization experts is particularly welcome. Since we are going to have interactive sessions, the available seats are limited and we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to ensuring your participation. If you have any question about the workshop, please contact STF488-workshop@list.etsi.org
