Design 4 Every Drop - Waterwise Landscape Design - Utah County, Utah
Overview
Landscape design can be intimidating, especially in arid climates where water is scarce. This workshop provides a step-by-step process to help you understand your property, develop a program and function within your landscape, and finally create a landscape plan for your property.
This workshop will begin with you taking of a series of online modules and assignments to help you initiate the analysis portion of the design process. The workshop will conclude with a multi-day, in-person, hands-on experience where you will work on a design for your own property. The intent is to help you experience the design process and aid you in developing water-wise landscape design solutions for your property. The class will be taught by Utah State University Extension faculty experienced in waterwise landscape design and implementation.
At the conclusion of this course, students will have an understanding of the landscape design process, techniques for developing water-wise landscape design solutions, and will have created a landscape design for their personal property.
The course consists of online modules and a 1.5 day in-person workshop. The course should only be taken if the participant is committed to completing the online modules and can fully attend all of the in-person workshop days. The cost of the course covers your attendance to the in-person workshop, lunch at the workshop and access to the online modules.
