Faculty Search and Implicit Bias Workshop

About this event

In this workshop, best practices for conducting a proactive faculty search will be presented. The role that implicit biases play in the evaluation of faculty candidates will also be discussed. This workshop is required of all faculty search committee members in support of DePaul's strategic initiative to increase the diversity of DePaul’s full-time and part-time faculty in each college and ensure an inclusive, welcoming community for all faculty.

This workshop is led by Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Cindy Pickett, with the support of Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Equity, Elizabeth Ortiz.

All workshops for fall quarter will be conducted via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants a day or two before the scheduled workshop.
