Please join the MPPSA at Commons Park on August 16th from 11am-2pm, for a potluck-style picnic! This is the first Park Day that the MPPSA is hosting, and we hope to continue this tradition at the start of every Fall semester. This is a great opportunity to socialize with your fellow MPP students and faculty, in a more casual setting than in the classroom!

What is the parking like at Commons Park?

There is both free and metered street parking along the park. There is also paid garages in the vicinity, but street parking shouldn't be an issue.

Can I take RTD to get there?

Yes, as long as you can get to Union Station via your RTD line. It is only a 15 minute walk to Commons Park from Union Station.

How do I signup for food and drinks?

What should I bring for food and drinks?

All food and drinks (including alcohol) are welcome as long as it doesn't need to be heated up. Example picnic foods include: pigs in a blanket, ham/turkey and cheese sliders, charcuterie board, chips and salsa, salad, cookies, etc.

What else should I bring/wear?

Dress casually, and be prepared for the weather! It is highly recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, a refillable water bottle, a blanket, and chair(s).
