Join the bus from Denver to Lincoln, Nebraska to rally against the Keystone XL pipeline and March to Give KXL the Boot on Sunday, August 6th!

Nebraska's Public Service Commission has the ability to stop the Keystone XL pipeline and ahead of their vote this fall, and we need to show them that Coloradans stand with Nebraska against this dirty and dangerous project. We need you there with us to send the message that Keystone XL is a threat to our land, water, and climate, and is not in the public interest. It's time to stop this dirty pipeline once and for all!

Bus Information:

Bus loading begins at 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 5th in the Park-n-Go parking lot just East of I-76. The Park-n-Go address is 12340 E 104th Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022.

Bus will arrive in Lincoln, NE around 8:00 AM in time for the Pipeline Fighters Summit, a regional skillshare event.

Bus loading for return trip will begin at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 6th at the Nebraska State Capitol.

Bus will arrive at Park-n-Go at approximately 2:00 AM on Monday, August 7th.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring comfortable clothes & shoes that you can plan to wear for the bus travel, indoor skillshare event and afternoon March and rally. outside.

What about food?

Lunch on Sunday will be provided for those who register for the Pipeline Fighters Summit. If you do not register for the Summit, we will not be able to provide food while in Lincoln. All participants are responsible for their own breakfast and dinner on Sunday.

We recommend that you bring your own snacks or meals for any part of the trip (and extra to share if you like!) and/or money to purchase food from highway rest stops or while in Lincoln. The bus will stop once or twice on the trip for very short food/bathroom breaks.

Are there bathrooms on the bus?

There is a bathroom on the bus. The bus will also stop once or twice for short bathroom breaks.

What about outlets / wifi on the bus?

There may be a limited amount of power outlets and a wifi network onboard the bus, but we can't guarantee these amenities since they are dependent on availability at our charter company. Please bring your own portable power pack and cell phone or hotspot if this is important to you.

Is the bus comfortable?

The buses we charter are fairly standard motorcoaches with a capacity of at least 54 passengers. These are NOT school buses. There is space for luggage underneath and small luggage racks onboard above the seats. The seats recline slightly and have reading lights. Many passengers choose to bring a blanket or sleeping bag onboard the bus with them, since we will be traveling overnight to Lincoln and arriving late on the return trip.

Is there parking at the departure location?

The bus will depart and return from the Park-N-Go parking lot East of I-76. These lots are often used overnight on weekends as drivers carpool to the mountains. We cannot assume responsibility for your car while we are away.

Who is organizing this trip?

This bus is organized by Sierra Club and 350 Colorado. It is open to all who would like to attend the March to Give KXL the Boot.

Should I book today or wait until closer to the trip date?

Book as soon as possible, today if you can. Once this bus fills up, we close off ticket purchases and even though we'd love to have you travel with us, we have to say no if we don't have the room. For previous bus trips, we have often needed to start a waitlist and have not been able to accept many riders from it. It's often impossible to add extra buses at the last minute (we have tried before!) even if we have enough people to fill one. If you want to come to Nebraska from Colorado for the March to Give KXL the Boot, please book as soon as you can to guarantee a seat!
