Join us as we untangle all the information on sewing pattern envelopes and patterns. Learn how to cut the correct size, decode dots, squares, and triangles, what line to use to cut the fabric, what you should know that the pattern is not telling you, and so much more! In addition to understanding the pattern, we will also take body measurements so you will feel confident that you will cut the correct size. Please note, this class focuses on printed modern and vintage patterns and their envelopes; we will not discuss pdf patterns. No sewing experience necessary.
Supply list:
- Notebook/notepad & writing implement
- Tape measure
- 1-2 yds of fabric with the selvage (this is to practice laying a pattern out, we will not be cutting fabric)
- 1-2 sewing patterns (vintage or modern)
