In this free session, you’ll learn the basics of dementia—what causes it, how it shows up, and how it changes over time. We’ll talk about how it affects memory, behavior, and communication, and share simple, caring ways to support your loved one. Our goal is to help you feel more confident and connected as you care for someone living with dementia.

About the speaker, Mary Stoinski

Mary is a certified practitioner of Montessori for Dementia through the Association of Montessori International. She is also a trainer of Dementia Capable Care through Crisis Prevention Institute, a community educator for the Alzheimer's Association, and a PAC Coach through the Teepa Snow organization, Positive Approach to Care. Mary spent many years developing programming and training for memory care communities and is passionate about helping individuals and families discover life and hope throughout their journey of dementia.


The event is held onthe 2nd floor in the Flex Event Room. There is no elevator in this building.
