Description

In collaboration with the School of Visual Arts, join us for a special presentation with artist and former alumni Arnaldo Morales as he activates his kinetic works, on view at elmuseo@sva: May Contain Moving Parts (on view January 13 - February 3, 2018). In conversation with Rocio Aranda-Alvarado, the program will be followed by a Q+A with the artist.

ABOUT ARNALDO MORALES

Arnaldo Morales is a multimedia artist who works with industrial materials, low-tech manual devices, and mechanical systems. His projects are often interactive and focus on issues of fear, desire, ambition, and pleasure. Born in Puerto Rico, he lives and works in New York City since 1996. He has shown his work at El Museo del Barrio, The Americas Society, and White Box (all in New York), the Galería de la Raza (San Francisco), and The Living Art Museum (Reykjavik), among many other venues. Morales’ work is included in important collections across the United States and Puerto Rico, including El Museo del Barrio, and the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico.
