Ricardo Baeza-Yates – From Principles to Practice: Building Responsible AI at Scale
Ricardo Baeza-Yates is a globally recognized computer scientist and AI governance advisor. Former Director of Research at Northeastern University’s Institute for Experiential AI, as well as Barcelona’s SuperComputer Center AI Institute and VP of Research at Yahoo Labs, he has led large-scale initiatives in AI ethics, information retrieval, and data science across North and South America and Europe.
He currently serves as co-chair of the AI Subcommittee at the ACM US Technology Policy Committee and is a steering committee member of the OECD’s Global Partnership on AI (GPAI). His recent work includes bias audits, AI governance frameworks, and Responsible AI training for Fortune 500 companies.


Laura Perea Virgili – Embedding Responsible AI in Corporate DNA: Lessons from Global Enterprises
Laura Perea Virgili is an AI Risk Manager at PepsiCo’s Responsible AI Office, where she drives the responsible adoption of AI across global operations. With a background in digital innovation and enterprise architecture at Nestlé’s Global Digital Hub, Laura has led programs at the intersection of technology, governance, and inclusion.
A passionate advocate for diversity in tech and women’s empowerment, Laura brings a pragmatic and inclusive perspective to AI governance — connecting ethical ambition with real corporate execution.
