Take your improv scenes to the next level by exploring the rich layers of character and relationship in this intensive two-hour workshop. We’ll dive into techniques for creating vivid, memorable characters with clear motivations, distinctive traits, and emotional depth. More importantly, you’ll learn how to build authentic, dynamic relationships on stage—whether it’s friendship, rivalry, romance, or anything in between—that drive scene choices and connect with the audience. Through targeted exercises and scene work, you’ll practice listening deeply, making bold choices, and responding truthfully to your scene partners. This workshop is ideal for improvisers ready to move beyond the surface and bring more heart, nuance, and connection to their performances.
Daytime workshops at the Big Couch Binge offer something for improvisers of all levels—from those just starting out to seasoned performers looking to deepen their skills. This particular workshop does require basic improv knowledge.
And, don't forget about our multi-workshop passes that provide a discount when taking more than one workshop on either day. See our full event page for workshop bundles.
