The City of Hyden and the Leslie County Public Library invite you to be a part of a special event: The dedication of a Kentucky Historical Marker honoring the legacy of the Packhorse Librarians.

New York Times bestselling author Kim Michele Richardson will be the featured guest speaker, and bookstore Read Spotted Newt will have copies of her books available for purchase, including The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek (Collector's Edition). Kim Michele will sign books immediately following the dedication from 2-3pm.

Following the dedication and book signing, there will be a free old-fashioned picnic, bluegrass music, a children's storytime, and more!

Admission is free, but please get a ticket if you can, so we know how many people to expect.
