Overview

Join us for a webinar on cutting-edge technologies and strategies to achieve net zero carbon emissions in your facilities!

DTE Gas Major Accounts invites you to join us for a one hour, lunch ‘n learn where we will discuss options and technologies for your organization to move toward net zero carbon. Our energy landscape is rapidly evolving toward a low carbon future, and you need to be aware of the multiple solutions available. Join us and educate yourself on topics including strategic planning, carbon capture, cogeneration (or CHP), carbon offsets, hydrogen, and renewable natural gas. Our guest speaker, Shane Johnson, CEO of Carbon Quest, will discuss their adsorption carbon capture system and highlight the near net zero SouthTown multiuse development project in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This mass timber 8-story building will be operated via natural gas fuel cells with a proposed Carbon Quest CO2 capture system on the exhaust.

See the agenda below starting at Noon. Come join us to learn how large natural gas systems can be decarbonized with renewable fuels and carbon capture. DTE staff will discuss our carbon offset offering as well as many carbon reduction technologies such as gas heat pumps, Renewable Hydrogen, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), microgrids, geothermal, and carbon capture.

CASE STUDY

We will highlight Ann Arobr’s SouthTown Project, to be constructed across the street from the U-M golf course, will be a mixed-use “fully electrified” building built with mass timber construction in downtown Ann Arbor. This 8-story building will provide over 200,000 SF of residential units, 22,000 SF of public community space, 18,000 SF of office space, and 2,500 SF of retail space. While the building is all electric, it will be powered by several 400kW natural gas fuel cells, with a Carbon Quest CO2 capture system on the exhaust.
