Join Marc Brackett, Ph.D., author of the bestselling Permission to Feel (now translated into 27 languages), founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, professor in the Child Study Center at Yale University, and lead developer of RULER – an evidence-based framework for cultivating emotional intelligence (currently adopted by more than 5000 schools worldwide), as he discusses his newest book Dealing with Feeling: Use Your Emotions to Create the Life You Want. He will be joined in conversation by Teresa Ramos, Ph.D., Secretary of the Illinois Department of Early Childhood, for a dynamic discussion about the power of emotions, and how understanding and harnessing them can sharpen our decisions, deepen our connections, and guide the way we support students through life’s big choices.
