De-Escalation Skills & Difficult Conversations (Session 1)

Pollack Peacebuilding Systems — leader in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and communication training — grounds its work in the belief that conflict can be transformed into clarity, connection, and collaboration. Guided by principles of compassionate understanding and sustainable practice, their approach focuses on building both mutual trust and collaborative dialogue skills.

This event will draw on those principles to support participants in strengthening their capacity to stay grounded and present during high-stress situations. It will focus on de-escalation of self and others, particularly during mental health or substance use crises, giving and receiving feedback effectively, and initiating and navigating difficult conversations.
