Sensory Nourishment De-Escalation Training for Practitioners and EducatorsLearn physiological trauma-informed skills for navigating volatile situations successfully. This three-hour workshop presents a somatic approach to disarming fight/flight/freeze reactions from the inside out. We will explore reversing the natural stress response to tensions and rising tempers by partnering with our senses to reduce anxiety, frustration, and anger. We'll practice soothing Sensory Nourishment options with profound calming effects such as:

  • Redirecting brain activity from reactive to productive/collaborative brain regions
  • Reducing cortisol and inducing oxytocin production
  • Engaging the Vagus nerve to calm a racing heart and help settle the whole nervous system
  • And many more useful applications
