DCHWS East Spring 2022 Symposium is planned to be an in-person event!

Private sector: Your 2020 in-person registration, sponsorship, and/or exhibit is automatically moved to our 2022 in-person event, and you will get ongoing advertising related to this event!

Government attendees: If you registered for the 2020 event, your registration was canceled, as there was no cost associated with your registration. The intent is to keep government registration free for 2022. You will have to re-register for the 2022 in-person event.

We launched a new DCHWS website (dchws.org) that includes information about the East, West, and Virtual Symposiums, and the Webinar Series. Ongoing updates will be posted on this website. If you have questions, please email east@dchws.org.

SAME continues to monitor the most up-to-date guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety protocols from the CDC, federal government, state and local governments, and the venue. As we get closer to the event, the latest requirements will be shared to ensure an environment that protects the safety and wellbeing of our participants.

The information below is provided by the City of Philadelphia. The City of Philadelphia’s mask mandate went into effect on August 12, 2021 to combat the COVID-19 emergency in Philadelphia. Refund Policy (Refund policy is NOT 7 days prior to event!)

Cancelations will be accepted until Friday, February 11, 2022, must be received in writing to east@dchws.org, and are subject to a $25.00 processing charge. Registration fees will be refunded in full minus the processing charge for individual registrations only. If your registration fee is $0.00, you will not be charged a cancelation fee if you cancel. SAME regrets that refunds cannot be issued after February 11, 2022 or for no-shows for any reason. You may transfer your registration to a colleague if circumstances prevent you from attending the symposium at no charge.

Summary of Event

The applications of engineering and science associated with cleaning up hazardous waste sites continue to evolve rapidly. Our goal is to facilitate an interactive engagement between professionals from the government and the private sector related to relevant and topical issues affecting our field. We will make every effort to mirror all aspects of past symposiums in terms of format and spirit. As a SAME event, registration fees will be covered by private sector sponsorships and registration fees. The registration fee is being waived for government employees.

• Military/Government - Free*

*Military/Government attendees need to be approved through their chain of command.
