About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

If you're a writer navigating the often arduous experience of publishing, this event is for you. The DC Writers' Salon A&A Q&A (agent & author question & answer) series provides writers with opportunities to hear from experienced folks on different facets of the publishing world.

This July, we're featuring Rhaina Cohen, author, journalist, editor, producer, and member of the Salon!

Rhaina Cohen is a journalist who specializes in longform journalism that’s both narrative-driven and ideas-rich. She's a producer and editor for NPR’s Embedded and the author of the bestselling book, The Other Significant Others , which tells the stories of people who make a friendship the central relationship in their lives - owning homes together, raising kids together, or caring for each other for decades. We'll start with snacks and refreshments, our guest speaker will give a 30 minute talk, then we'll follow that with a Q&A discussion and mingling.

Based in Dupont, the DC Writers' Salon is a studio and community for writers. The Salon helps us make space and time for what we love to do: write. But more than that, it invites us to engage with the otherwise solo, and sometimes grueling, process of writing in a way that's more connected and accountable. Learn more at DCWritersSalon.com.
