DBT skills for Family and Friends an 8-week series
Overview
Supporting someone who experiences intense emotions, anxiety, shutdowns, or mood swings can feel overwhelming. You care deeply, but it’s hard to know what to say, how to help, or how to stay grounded when emotions run high.
This 8-Week Friends & Family DBT Skills Course taught by a Linehan Board certified DBT therapist, offers a supportive, practical, and research-backed way to strengthen connection while reducing conflict, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. Participants will learn the core skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — including mindfulness, validation, boundaries, and effective communication strategies — in a format designed specifically for loved ones, not clients.
You’ll walk away with:
- Tools to respond (instead of react)
- Techniques for staying calm during conflict
- Ways to validate without enabling
- Boundaries that protect the relationship and your well-being
Begins: November 24, 2025, every Monday 4pm-6pm (PST)
