DBT Basics for Clinicians

This 3-hour live training provides clinicians with an introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Participants will learn the theoretical foundation of DBT, the structure of treatment, and practical strategies for integrating DBT principles into clinical practice. The course will cover the four core skills modules (Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness), with discussion of how these skills can be applied in both individual and group therapy. Emphasis will be placed on building a foundational understanding of DBT to enhance therapeutic effectiveness with clients experiencing emotional dysregulation.
