Historic Sotterley’s Day of Unity and Healing is a Descendant planned event that remembers and celebrates our complete American Heritage and all Descendants through leadership, education, history and the arts.

August 23, 2025 – This year’s Day of Unity and Healing is extra special because we will be hosting it on the UNESCO Day of Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. While we always commemorate this important observance at the event, it’s not every year that the two fall on the same day!

We are hard at work planning for the event and more information will come soon. Please save the date and plan to join us!
