What does my dancer bring to the workshop?

Please bring a water bottle, mess free snack, and a lunch (premier dancers).

What should my dancer wear to the workshop?

Wear class appropriate apparel.

Will there be concessions, or a lunch, provided?

No, please have your dancer bring some snacks and a lunch if they will be attending the afternoon session.

When will we know the exact schedule?

Premier dancers will be having afternoon classes, but the pre-premier are only in the morning. We will send out a session schedule the week before the event with more details.

When do entries close?

Because we are hosting an entire day, we hope you will enter early and we are closing entries on October 25, 2025. If after that date you realize your dancer can attend, please reach out to Nicci Stewardson directly at portlandhighlanddance@gmail.com.

Workshops for Premier dancers, Pre-premier dancers, Professionals, and parents will be given by Mary Munro and Sandy Gribbin. This event is hosted by Portland Highland Dance Association, and is open to any highland dancer that wishes to attend. We will have sessions for all ages and classes, as well as a parent portion. Professionals will be able to sit in on any of the sessions they wish, and their entry fee also grants them membership to PHDA for the 2025-2026 season. Please join us for a day of fun, friendship, and lots of dancing. PLUS, Portland Highland Dance Association is hosting a Ceilidh that evening nearby the workshop venue. Stay and extra night and keep the dancing going! Ceilidh dancing will be a sesssion at the workshop to get you ready!
