MY LIFE IS A JAZZ SONG - A Jazz Comedy by David Zasloff

Part stand-up, part concert, part spiritual journey — My Life Is a Jazz Song is a wildly original one-man show blending jazz, scat singing, world instruments, and razor-sharp comedy.

Jazz comedian David Zasloff delivers hilarious and heartfelt monologues, performs original songs like The Jazz Club, Jazz Waltz, and My Life Is a Jazz Song, and plays a dazzling array of instruments — including trumpet, Japanese shakuhachi flute, shofar, kudu horn, and cajon.

Along the way, he shares absurd and touching stories about life as a musician, the art of improvisation, and the beauty of cultural diversity. From scat versions of Dixie to blues on a ram’s horn, this show is deeply funny, musically rich, and refreshingly human.

David’s comedy cuts to the core of life. - Samuel Kiwsaz

“I am a Zasloff fan. He pushes the boundaries. He’s smart and very funny. - Jay Levin – original publisher of the L.A. Weekly
