In partnership with Beebe High School and Wilbur Mills Education Service Cooperative, ALA Reach provided a virtual, 3-hour learning experience centered around data. From 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Melody Morgan and Jeana Williams guide participants through how and why leaders use data. The session include topics such as common language of data literacy, psychological safety in exploring and using data, understanding the use of student data to make informed decisions, checking for understanding, and using formal data to shape formative practice.

Learning Intentions:

  • Participants will learn how the Accountability System (ESSA Scores and Reports) impacts instructional decisions.
  • Participants will learn how multiple measures of data help them make wise decisions.
  • Participants will learn about the cycles of Data-Driven Instruction.
  • Participants will learn how to use data cycles to make decisions about instructional practices.
