Event description

The Classroom of the Future Foundation (CFF), Mr. Elmer, and educators from Newport-Mesa Unified School District invite you to a Lunch & Learn Event for school districts on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 12:00pm - 1:30pm.

Does your district’s data clearly inform your teachers in the classroom with the best way to support students?

Can your principals and district administrators see the efficacy of their school wide or district wide initiatives like MTSS, RTI, PBIS, SEL… with just one click?

Does the idea of “one more thing” overwhelm and discourage everyone?

Come join us and our special guests for this interactive workshop where we will discuss concepts of data strategy, process design, and how to leverage technology to inform and sustain your best practices.

Mr. Elmer is software for improving student success. The application clarifies data and makes it actionable for educators. Whether your focus is MTSS, RTI, SEL, PBIS… or any other educational initiative, Mr. Elmer eliminates mountains of paperwork, outdated spreadsheets and teacher frustration.

Mr. Elmer is a technology partner that works with your district to make sure that everyone from superintendent to classroom helper is successful. All of the heavy lifting of data integration, user adoption and universal support is covered. With Mr. Elmer, educators can stay focused on supporting students, not technology.

George Knights, Director of Professional Learning Communities & K-12 Assessment and Gabriel Del Real, Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction, will share how their partnership with Mr. Elmer is helping Newport Mesa Unified School District:

  1. Move from “Data Chaos” to “Data Action”

  1. Simplify and minimize documentation, saving everyone countless time

  2. Support follow through on every intervention and ensuring efficacy

  3. Improving school culture for critical performance issues, safety and security

Even though this event can be valuable for ALL educators, our focus at this lunch will target those with roles in:

-Data and Assessment -Curriculum and Assessment

Please consider sending a couple of folks that serve in the above mentioned roles.

In the summer of 2018, Mr. Elmer and CFF brought together a group of educational leaders to explore some of the issues around data, process, innovation, and sustainability. Over three days, we tested a leading industry process simulation tool and a software platform built to capture and scale school district success. The results were amazing. The participants described the experience as “The best PD we have ever been a part of”.

Building on this momentum, we are offering a workshop series to reach more districts with these practices and get more voices participating in the conversation. We are excited to share some of our findings and see how they translate to you and your district. We are excited to see how we can tailor the best practices that came out of this work to bring Sustainable Innovation to all of Southern California.

Bill Hewlett said, “Men and women want to do a good job, and if they are provided the proper environment, they will do so”. Opportunities to uncover innovative solutions exist in every corner of every classroom, district office, teacher and student. The team from Mr. Elmer believes that when you create the “proper environment” with clear data, good process and technology that will support and sustain, inspired transformation will flow into your classrooms. We are excited to share this passion and vision with San Diego County and CFF. We are excited to partner in this important work of transforming education and the lives of these amazing young people we have the privilege of serving.
