Course Title: Data Analysis and Visualization using Microsoft Power BI
Course Overview:
This 5-day training introduces participants to Microsoft Power BI guiding them from basic operations to advanced data analysis and visualization. Participants will learn to create impactful dashboards and reports that support informed decision-making.
Target Audience:
Professionals new to Power BI who want to develop their data analysis and visualization skills. Prior knowledge of data concepts is helpful.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Understand Power BI’s core components
- Connect to and transform various data sources
- Model data and define relationships
- Use DAX for advanced analysis
- Build and share interactive dashboards
- Apply data security and governance
- Access and edit Power BI content via mobile and Excel
Requirements:
- A PC with Microsoft Power BI Desktop (course not suitable for Mac users)
Modules Include:
- Introduction to Power BI – Setup workflows and connecting to Excel databases and online sources.
- Data Transformation & Cleaning – Shaping and cleaning datasets using Power Query.
- Data Modeling – Table relationships and basic DAX concepts.
- DAX Functions – Using key functions for analysis.
- Visualization Techniques – Creating charts maps slicers KPIs and more.
- Dashboard Design & Sharing – Building and publishing dashboards with security settings.
- Power BI Mobile & Excel Integration – Mobile setup and using Excel with Power BI.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
