Dancing With The Herd
Overview
During the event, the couples will perform a choreographed routine, and a panel of judges will provide feedback and scores. We have partnered with the Marshall Contemporary Dance Company, and each couple has been paired with a team of student or faculty choreographers to bring their performance to life.
Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner as they watch the performances unfold, creating a lively and entertaining evening for everyone in attendance. The winners of The Marco Mirrorball Trophy will be determined using a rubric that weighs both the judges’ scores and the total amount of money raised.
This year, the following four couples will participate in the event, each raising money for a chosen student fund:
- President Brad D. Smith and First Lady Alys Smith – Marshall For All, Marshall Forever
- Athletic Director Gerald Harrison and Lisa Harrison – Helen Gurley Brown BOLD Women's Leadership Fund
- Chief Legal Officer Toney Stroud and Cassie Stroud – Student Emergency Fund
- Faculty Senate Chair Shawn Schulenberg and Ariel Barcenas – Study Abroad Student Support Fund
