Extra Enrichment Through Dance & Teamwork

Looking for a movement-based class that supports your child’s mind, body, and heart?
Rhythm & Release is a 4-week creative dance program designed to give homeschool and alternative school youth the same enriching movement experience they might find in public school — with extra focus on emotional wellness, creativity, and collaboration.

🕓 Program Details

  • monthly series | 1 hour each session
  • Ages 5-9 (we also have a workshop right after for ages 10-14)
  • No prior dance experience needed
  • Comfortable clothing and water bottle recommended

Facilitator Spotlight: Jessica Ellis
Richmond native Jessica Ellis is a passionate dance educator and performer with over 20 years of experience teaching styles from African and Salsa to Ballet, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. A graduate of Howard University, Jessica has performed with acclaimed companies including Deeply Rooted Dance Theater II, Muntu Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and Clancyworks Dance Company. She brings a wealth of artistry, culture, and creative energy to every class she leads.
