Dance! Heal! Rebuild! Gig in Support of Medical Training in Palestine (THF)

Dance! Heal! Rebuild! is a nurishing evening of dance, culture, community, love, care and solidarity: In Support of Medical Training in Palestine (The Hanoon Foundation).

The evening will feature local DJs, accompanied by live performance by world-class, multi-instrumentalist & percussionist, Jack Yglesias.

DJ Zeeroy: roots: raggae, ska, etc

La Saduka - Paola: rich blend of combia, calsa, merengue

Natash Cox: award-winning filmmaker & Dj: Palestinian, Middle Eastern, NorthAfrican

Kyrsty G: Music producer, educator & DJ:funk, soul, hip hop, electronic.

We will also hear from Palestinian voices who will talk about the important role music and dance played in preserving their culture in face of erasure and colonial violence.

Context:

During the two years of Israel's genocidal campaign, over 1,700 healthworkers have been killed in Gaza, over 200 of whom were doctors & specialist doctors with over 15 years of training. All gone. The destruction is apocalyotic. The needs are enormous. Our solidarity is urgently needed.

All proceeds & every penny raised will go to the British-registered charity, the Hanoon Foundation (THF previously known as FQMS). THE, for nearluy 30 yeas, has been working tirelessly to build an independent healthcare, including training medical doctors and setting up the first medical school in Palestine (https://hanoon.org).

Building communities of care, love, and solidairty is our response to genocide, racism, divisive politics and dehumanisation.
