About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

AIA Learning Units will be provided once the course is approved.

DESCRIPTION:

In this event we'll highlight a subcontractor who uses the Design BIM as a jumping off point for creating a LOD400 Fabrication BIM which provides accurate BOM, cost estimating, and direct to fabrication parts creation. Second will be a structural engineering firm who uses a holistic approach to steel design and construction, building upon the average Design BIM to a LOD400 model integrating steel detailing into the 3D model thereby reducing RFI's and coordination issues, and yielding an Advanced Bill of Materials to more thoroughly understand final price and shorten approval time which gets the job into fabrication more quickly.
