Background: Toward the beginning of the year, layoffs began increasing, so a few bike friends decided rather than go through it alone, let's support each other! Cyles of Support was born! A simple concept: ride our bikes to a central location, updates on how the process is going, troubleshoot specific topics (resumes/cover letters/interviews/networking/etc), and be a solid source of support and encouragement through a challenging time, together.
Join us for our weekly support group meetings! We typically decide on a topic the meeting before but sometimes our updates take up the whole meeting or we focus on one specific person who has a significant event coming up (i.e. interview).
Where: Meet at the tables in front of Molly's Cupcakes in the south west corner of the market.
While this support group started from a cycling group, everyone is welcome. Parking is available in this area but we recommend riding your bike or taking transit if you can.
If the logistics or date/time don't work for you, join our other group that meets Mondays at 5pm at the Chandler Condos in Lakeshore East. There is a seperate Eventbrite link for that event.
