Any company that has had data storage or used software of any kind has always had at least the thought on protecting data and access. Of course, over the years, the bad actors got really good at breaking in and now security or the new term Cybersecurity is a full-time focus. Especially since the data being stolen is not just about the business but also about people, there is an individual need for some vigilance on Cybersecurity both within a company and personally. The first step is understanding the new markets for information.

About the speaker:

Dr. Charles Dull (Chuck) is currently the Associate Dean for the IT Center of Excellence at Community College (Tri-C) in Cleveland, Ohio. As Associate Dean he is tasked with program planning and support for IT programs and trends in IT education. Prior to this Dull was the Assistant Dean for eLearning & Innovation providing support and direction for online and blended learning programs, as well as driving innovation in eLearning and virtual student services. He earned his BSBA and MBA from Youngstown State University and PhD from Capella University. Dr. Dull has been an advocate for innovative concepts in higher education for many years.

Recently, Cybersecurity has become a focus. Tri-C will be working to provide community and business support through the Cybersecurity Defense Center. The Center will offer a range of services and training so stay tuned.
