Dates: February 25-26

Time: 8:30am to 5pm

Location: KraftCPA’s, 555 Great Circle Road, Nashville, TN 37228 - Parthenon Conference Room

Cost: $225 for ISACA members and $325 for non-members - Price includes the ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals Exam Study Guide 2nd Edition (a $65 value)

CPE: up to 16 hours

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided each day

Parking: Attendees should park in the lot behind the building. Enter through the side gate from the parking lot and come through the front entrance.

Cancellations/Substitutions: Cancellations will be refunded less a $20 processing fee. Cancellations must be made via email to programs@isacanashville.org by the close of business January 31. Substitutions are welcome. See the Chapter website for complete details on the Chapter's event policies.

Instructor: Don Baham, President, Kraft Technology Group, and ISACA Middle Tennessee Chapter Vice President

Target Audience: The target audience for this workshop are those new to field of cybersecurity with 0 to 3 years of cybersecurity experience or those actively pursuing the CSX Fundamentals Certificate.

Seminar Description:

Why become a cybersecurity professional? The protection of information is a critical function for all enterprises. Cybersecurity is a growing and rapidly changing field, and it is crucial that the central concepts that frame and define this increasingly pervasive field are understood by professionals who are involved and concerned with the security implications of Information Technologies. The CSX Fundamentals workshop is designed for this purpose, as well as to provide insight into the importance of cybersecurity, and the integral role of cybersecurity professionals. This workshop will also prepare learners for the ISACA CSX Fundamentals Certificate Exam.

Instructor Biography:

Don Baham has been in the information security industry for the last 20 years, and holds CISSP and CISA certifications. Don leads Kraft Technology Group and acts as a virtual CIO for financial services and healthcare companies in his role at Kraft. Don serves on the board of the Middle Tennessee ISACA, ISSA, and InfraGard chapters. Don is an accredited trainer through APMG International.

 

The Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.

Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA

The Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA was founded in 1986 and exists to promote the education of individual members for the improvement and development of capabilities relating to the auditing of and/or management consulting in the field of Information Systems Audit and Control.

Chapter Objectives

  • Promote education of, and help expand the knowledge and skills of our members in the related fields of auditing and information systems audit and control.
  • Encourage a free exchange of information systems audit and control techniques, approaches, and problem solving by our members.
  • Provide adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in information systems audit and control that can be beneficial to them and their employers.
  • Communicate to management, auditors, and information systems professionals the importance of establishing controls necessary to ensure effective organization and utilization of information systems resources.
