Welcome to our Cyanotype workshop! Join us at MAYA Collection for a fun and interactive in-person event where you'll learn this unique printing technique!

Cyanotype is an old-school photo printing method that creates beautiful blue images using sunlight. You coat paper or fabric with a special light-sensitive solution and let it dry in the dark. Then you place objects or a photo negative on top and expose it to sunlight for a few minutes. After rinsing it with water, the exposed areas turn a deep blue, while the covered parts stay white or lighter—revealing a striking, high-contrast image.

After creating your printed fabric, you can take it home to display, or leave it in the hands of our talented artisans who will then turn it into a beautiful zippered pouch!

Attending this class directly supports the Maya Collection. We are a faith based non-profit with the mission to empower and equip local refugee women and teens through mentoring, discipling and teaching artisan skills to help them flourish in our community.

At the end of the class, you'll have the option to shop the Maya Collection - an assortment of beautiful, hand-crafted goods created by our artisans!
