By Forest Resource Education Center
Overview
A free forestry event for the family
Pitch pine trees are the most common tree in the Pinelands and the FREC Savanah needs these young saplings removed in order to promote the native grasses and wildlife.
These young trees are about 3-7' tall and 1-4" diameter. Look for one or two or three that suit you. The trees can be used also for wreaths and garland. Bring the family and your own hand saw or loppers. Dress for weather since this event is rain or snow.
Event is free. Only registar 1 adult per family. Please remember to cancel if unable to attend.
