Practice Selfcare And Connection At Cuddle Party!

Wait... What is a Cuddle Party?

A Cuddle Party is a workshop and an event. We start with a workshop where we learn consent communication tools. Then we use those tools with the help of the facilitator to have a fun cuddle party! You can connect, chat, snuggle, and feel amazing with other warm open-hearted people.

Why cuddling?

Touching other human beings is really good for your health! Hugs produce oxytocin which can:

  • lowers blood pressure
  • boosts immune system
  • improves sense of safety, comfort, and belonging

Whether you are partnered or single (both are absolutely welcome!) you'll have the opportunity to connect. Our world can be lonely, stressful, and depressing at times. When you can connect in ways that feel safe, affirming, and fun your mood, outlook, and physical health improves.

A certified facilitator will be there every step of the way. The first hour of this event is a workshop on what consent and boundaries look like at a Cuddle Party. The workshop teaches:

  • How to gain clarity and confidence in asking for consent
  • How to identify and set firm compassionate boundaries
  • Where to find comfort, support and encouragement.

Heads up about health...

**If you have symptoms of any contagious illness, from stuffy noses and soar throats to fever or nausea and beyond, please sit this one out. You will be given a full refund. Let's not pass along our colds, flu, or covid to our community. That's not fun for anyone.**

What can I expect?

ETIQUETTE:

  • Review the itinerary and arrive on time. Once we begin the Welcome Circle and orientation the doors will close and no one else will be admitted.
  • What to wear: Pajamas or minimum outer wear shorts and t-shirt. Think clothing for lounging around. The space can get chilly so bring layers you can adjust to your comfort.
  • What to bring: Yourself, that's all that's required. You can also bring non-alcoholic beverages and/or snacks to share and cuddle accessories (i.e. pillow, blanket, stuffed animals etc.) but that's just if it would be fun for you.

Are there any rules?

Yep. Here they are. :)

  1. Pajamas/comfy clothes stay on the whole time
  2. You don't have to touch anyone at a Cuddle Party, ever.
  3. You must ask permission and receive a verbal YES before you touch anyone. (Be as specific in your request as possible.)
  4. If you are a yes, say YES. If you are a no, say NO.
  5. If you are a maybe, say NO.
  6. You are encouraged to change your mind.
  7. Respect your relationship agreements and communicate with your partner.
  8. Get a facilitator if you have a question, concern, or need assistance.
  9. Tears and laughter are both welcome.
  10. Respect people's privacy when sharing about Cuddle Party.
  11. Keep the cuddle space tidy.
