Join CTA for a public meeting to share input on potential future designs to make streets work better for buses. The Bus Priority Corridor Study is exploring ways to make bus travel faster, more convenient, and more comfortable for riders on five corridors.
This meeting will focus on:
- the western portion of Garfield,
- the southern portion of Pulaski, and
- the southern portion of Western.
The study is a major next step in implementing the Better Streets for Buses Plan—a framework developed by CTA and CDOT to enhance the bus riding experience through infrastructure improvements to streets, sidewalks, and signals.
The study will focus on five major corridors from the Better Streets for Buses Plan. These corridors serve thousands of daily riders and connect neighborhoods across the city:
- Pulaski Road (from Peterson to 87th)
- Western Avenue (from Howard to 79th)
- Cottage Grove Avenue (from 35th to 115th)
- Fullerton Avenue (from Grand/Nordica to Halsted)
- 55th Street / Garfield Boulevard (from Cicero to South Hyde Park)
