csv,conf,v8 is a community driven data conference. It’s an event that’s not literally about CSV file format, but rather about what CSV represents in regards to our wider community ideals (data interoperability, hackability, simplicity, etc.).
Keeping with previous csv conferences, we have put together a heavily curated program that maintains an unconference feel. This will include quick, rapid fire presentations hand selected by the program committee. Talks will be about a range of data-related topics from a diverse range of speakers. Our focus this year is connecting key areas of open science, data journalism, and open government with the wider data software/tools community.
UPDATE: we now have a full list of speakers. For now, is a Google Sheet, but we will be adding it to the website soon. Please take a look (you can see abstracts in both English and Spanish and you can sort by language they will be delivered…and other criteria) and help us promote the conference!

csv,conf is not literally about the CSV file format. We are a non-profit community conference for those in civic tech, journalism, social projects, data viz, infrastructure, etc. who do work similarly to what CSV represents - simple, hackable & interoperable approaches to complex problems. Join us!
All prices are listed in USD. While the conference will take place in Mexico, we are processing all payments in US dollars.
CSVconf is a non-profit, community-run conference. Ticket sales pay for catering, venue costs, and travel support for speakers/attendees. To help cover our costs, please select the rate that represents what you can afford. However, if you can't afford to pay anything, please select the free ticket.
Yes, each year we offer free space for organizations to co-locate their event, workshop, or meeting. This year, we have rooms available on May 27, 28, & 31. If you are interested in joining us in Puebla, please email csvconf@gmail.com.
