About this event
Join the Chicago Payments Forum 4:30 – 6:00 pm on April 6 for an open conversation on crypto, blockchain, and the future of finance. We’ll be joined by Lamont Black, an associate professor of finance in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago, and the Academic Director for the Center for Financial Services.
Before joining DePaul, Black worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. He enjoys researching and discussing topics like banking, corporate finance, and macroeconomics. His research projects have been published in multiple journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and the Journal of Financial Stability.
Black graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a Ph.D. in Finance and has a Ph.D. in Economics. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in Modern Thought and Literature.
