Our fundraising goals focus on ...
#1 Continued support of our schools, teachers, and food program.
Each year, it is vital to raise funds to support teachers’ salaries, student education, a nutritionally balanced food program, music, dance, and chess clubs, the medical clinic, promote tech literacy, our Futures program (H.S. Scholarships), and our Emergency Fund.
#2 “Safe Havens for Girls at Risk”
At Crossing Thresholds, we are committed to creating secure, supportive spaces where vulnerable girls can escape violence, stay in school, and reclaim their futures. In communities like Kibera, where 40% of teenage girls face sexual exploitation for food, education is not just an opportunity — it's survival. By building safe zones with gender-specific resources, we’re protecting girls, empowering them through education, and breaking the cycle of poverty — because when girls are safe, everyone thrives.
