Creatures of the Night: The Bats of New Jersey

Bats often get a bad reputation of being spooky or even fearsome, but they are actually some of the most beneficial animals to people, and right now, bats need our help! Join Conserve Wildlife Foundation biologist Leah Wells in a presentation to learn about these amazing night flying creatures in your area, and what you can do to keep them around!

Leah Wells received her B.S. in Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources from Rutgers University. In her role at CWF she works on and coordinates our bat research and conservation projects, including the Summer Bat Count, mobile acoustic surveys, and Bats in Buildings. Leah is also part of the bat squad with the USFWS field office where they capture, tag, and track rare bats, like the Northern long-eared and Little Brown bat, in the Pine Barrens.
