EVENT DETAILS

Learn about the animals that call Wind Wolves Preserve home! Each Creature Feature program will begin at the Crossing's Discovery Pond (near the main parking lot) with the reading of a nature-themed storybook, followed by a hands-on activity or craft. Join us after the activity (about 11:00 am) for a short, guided hike along San Emigdio Canyon Trail as we search for our "creature." Recommended for ages 4-10.

ABOUT US

Wind Wolves Preserve is a 93,000-acre nature preserve located approximately 30 miles south of Bakersfield, and is owned and operated by The Wildlands Conservancy (TWC). The preserve is open to the public daily and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, or attend a staff led program, all free of charge.

TWC is a private, non-profit organization that operates more than 25 preserves along the west coast. Our mission is "To preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and to provide programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature."
