About this event

It’s never too late to bring your imagination out of retirement!

After all, isn’t “retirement” just a label to justify not having to “work” anymore? And probably because “work” isn’t fun… and probably because society has evolved in a way that makes “work” not fun…which also makes grown-ups less fun as we age… sigh…

But I’m not here to talk about that. (Unless you want to, and if so, I would encourage you to draw about it LOL)

Instead, let’s come together for an evening of FUN, and LAUGHTER, and RECONNECT with our inherent ability to IMAGINE (YES you were BORN with it, but it might be seriously underutilised…)

And maybe - in the words of Billy Joel’s song Piano Man – “forget about life for a while!” (as in the work “life”, the expectations-to-fulfil “life”, the obligations “life”... but if you want to draw about that I won’t stop you LOL)

It’s time to breathe actual real LIFE into your Life again!

NO DRAWING “SKILLS” NECESSARY!

TERRIBLE DRAWINGS ENCOURAGED!

Just chope your spot (by registering), come as you are, and allow yourself to have some FUN. Your inner 5-year-old deserves it!!!

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thurman

About Your Facilitator:

MaryAnn’s journey as a professional artist started in 2013 when she fulfilled her forgotten childhood artist dream – by organising her first solo exhibition in 2 months, without formal training in art or experience in events management. Since then, she has explored and fulfilled various dreams as an artist – selling her original artworks and commissions, illustrating children’s books, and exhibiting abroad. In 2018, MaryAnn began installing a series of 100 murals around the world – to fulfill her traveling artist dream – and has completed 10 murals in 7 countries to date. She’s currently working on her first graphic novel about her experience of organising her first solo exhibition (while dreaming of becoming an international bestselling author).
