Creative Writing holds a great power: the ability to vent our inner selves and transform the deepest emotions into Art. When we allow ourselves to feel deeply, we unlock the possibility to write the most captivating, true stories. Stories about loved ones, about loss, traumas, the places that marked our hearts, and everything we are grateful for in this life. Stories about life itself. Through the workshop "Write Your Own Story," we will learn narration techniques and get to know the foundations of plot and characters. However, our main goal will be to experience the joy of creation: to bring our own stories to light and let them be heard!

The workshop is an initiative by Georgia Patakou. Georgia Patakou comes from Greece, specifically the island of Crete. For as long as she can remember, words have been the place where she feels most at home. She studied Greek Literature and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Creative Writing. Through exercises, discussions, and imaginative play, she guides participants through the steps of the creative process. Exploring how a character comes to life, how a feeling can become an image, a word, a story.
